Letting Pride go
Many of us, out of pride look down on the Messengers God sends to us.
Naaman, listened to an Israelite slave girl who looked beyond her circumstances but rather saved an unbelievers life by sharing a vital knowledge to save her Captor. At this point, she was a messenger. However, Naaman had a picture of how Elisha would heal him hence his anger when he was told to go and dip himself in the Jordan River 7 times.
The Jordan River was dirty! How can I, a general that the king leans on his arm be sent to do this, he wondered.
Many of us are not always happy when we expect God to do something in a way that would favour us but He ends up doing the contrary. Let me say this, if God does it your way then suffice to say, God is a Man and his ways are then our ways which contradicts Isa. 55:8-9. There are certain things you are currently dealing with and you want it done your own way.
Stop.
God's way is way better than yours and because He loves you and His plan for you is for an expected end, He would do it from his point of view.
Listen, even when it feels difficult, swallow your pride and do the needful when God instructs you otherwise. The truth is you can't know more than Him.
The fact that Naaman swallowed his pride allowed God to heal him.
Don't let pride hold you down... It is too heavy!
Remember,
Jesus is. Love wins
